to raise money for our scholarships and awards

Soroptimist International of Watsonville is raffling this beautiful “Walk in the Park” quilt.  Designed by Vanessa Christensen, made by Jan Mitchell, and quilted by Anneke and Gerry Wheaton at The Last Stitch.

This year we present this quilt in loving memory of our dear Betty Rather.  Betty was a member of Soroptimist International of Watsonville for 43 years.  She worked tirelessly on this quilt raffle, her famous Lemon Meringue pies for auction, and fundraising at large.  She will be greatly missed for her beautiful smile, sweet disposition, and love for all things Soroptimist.

Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25.  Since we cannot sell raffle tickets online, if you wish to participate, please download and print the ticket sheet.  Return your check and the ticket sheet with your name and phone number.  Make checks payable to: SI Watsonville and mail them to: SI Watsonville, P. O. Box 442, Watsonville, CA 95077-0442.  The drawing will be held on October 28, 2023, at our Fall Fantasy Event.

Chartered in 1928, Soroptimist International Watsonville is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.  Our members are comprised of business and professional women.  Our programs have evolved through the years as our community needs have changed.  Currently, our Club focuses on the Dream It, Be It Program, Live Your Dream Program, and awarding scholarships to local high school graduates in pursuit of higher education.  In 2022, our club awarded $40,000 in local scholarships.
