Pajaro Valley Women’s Shelter Donations

The Pajaro Valley Shelter (PV Shelter), located in Watsonville, provides temporary housing to homeless women and children. Their goal is to change lives of families in need with a safe environment and provide education to build skills that lead to financial security for them and their families.
Soroptimist of Watsonville recognizes the impact PV Shelter has on many of the women and their families. Monthly we inquire about the needs of the Shelter. The items requested, such as shampoo, conditioner, diapers, wipes, etc., are not covered by Food Stamps, WIC. We deliver as many of these items as possible each month.
Once a year, Soroptimist of Watsonville provides personal, hands on, spa-like services during our Personal Day of Service. Women in the shelter are provided haircuts, manicures, pedicures, facials, etc. and lunch. It is a boost to their self-confidence plus we get to know those we support. Being pampered is a rare treat for these women.
Soroptimist of Watsonville partners with the PV Shelter to assist more women in need in our community. By helping improve the lives of women and girls, by providing financial and educational opportunities, we strengthen families and our community.
