The cookbook’s collection of recipes includes traditional recipes that range from simple to complex. There are recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation, as well as “family favorites” and “New California cuisine.”
Soroptimist International, founded in 1921 in Oakland, California, has grown to be the largest classified women’s organization in the world. There are more than 3,000 clubs with 80,000 members in over 130 countries. Soroptimist International of Watsonville was chartered in November, 1928 and is celebrating 88 years of service to the community. Watsonville Soroptimists reflect a variety of diverse cultures, including Japanese, Croatian, Latino, and Portuguese whose culinary talents reflect the richness of our valley’s agriculture.
